2009 Insight Bowl:
Minnesota vs. Iowa State

In 1997, Insight Bowl emerged out of the 1989 NCAA-sanctioned Division I-A post-season college football game in Arizona, or what was then known as the Copper Bowl, when Insight Enterprises of Delaware assumed it naming rights as the bowlís sponsor. The bowl is played at the Tucsonís Arizona Stadium until 1999.

By 2000, the game transferred to Phoenix’s Chase Field and lately, during the 2006 games, the Insight Bowl was played at Tempeís Sun Stadium. Also in that year, ESPN was replaced by NFL Network as the owner of television broadcasting rights of the game. Teams from the Western Athletic Conference, the Big 12, Pac 10 and the Big East have played in the Insight Bowl.

NCAA Division I-A shined in a big comeback during the 2006 games, where Texas Tech Red Raiders defeated Minnesota Golden Gophers in a breathtaking overtime game. Due to insistent public demand NFL Network uploaded the game footages for online public viewing.

In 2007, Indiana University played in the bowl for the first time since 1993 faced Oklahoma State University, a team already playing in the bowl for 5 years. The Indiana Hoosiers defeated the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 54-49.

Brace up to prepare for the raging desert battle as the Big 10 and Big 12 teams face each other at the 2008 Insight Bowl slated at the Sun Devil Stadium.
